Sr. Marla Clercx, ANG

sr__marla.jpgSister Marla was born and raised in Jasper Minnesota.  She worked as a veterinary technician for 3 years.  In 1984, she earned a BS in Elementary Education and Mathematics at UW-River Falls and then taught for 3 years at Holy Rosary in Medford and 3 years at Rhinelander Catholic Central.  She was educated at St. Paul Seminary in Minnesota where she received a MA in Pastoral Studies. She became a member of the religious community of A New Genesis.  She was appointed Parish Director of Immaculate Conception Parish, Florence in 2002. She currently serves as pastor for St. Michael's Church in Suring and Chapel in Chute Pond as well as St. John's in Gillett.

Fr. Dave Barrett, Sacramental Minister

tt was ordained in the Green Bay Diocese May 1fr_dave_2.jpg6, 1964 by Bishop Beno.  Fr. Dave has served the parishes of:  St. Joseph, Sturgeon Bay, St. Mary, Oshkosh, St. Mary, Kaukauna, St. Pius X, Appleton, St. Michael, Keshena, St. Anthony, Neopit, and St. Francis Solanus, Gresham.  He also served as chaplain for the Winnebago State Hospital and chaplain for the Catholic Community of Westhaven.  Fr. Dave has spent 20 years involved in AODA and 15 years working with Shawano Hospice.  He retired in 2008.  Fr. Dave served as Temporary Administrator for St. John and St. Michael parishes during the 2009 interim when the parishes were without a pastor.  He remained with St. John’s and St. Michael’s as Sacramental Minister when Sr. Marla Clercx, ANG was appointed parish director, August 1, 2009.

Haley Baraniak, Faith Foundation Coordinator

 Haley was born on May 3, 1985 in Antigo, WI to Dave and Marilyn Baraniak. Her family consists of an older sister, Jolynn, a brother-in-law, Jerome and nephew, Jerome Jr. Haley graduated from Antigo High School in 2003 and attended UW-Stevens Point. In May 2007 she graduated with a degree in Philosophy with a concentration in Religious Studies and a minor in Anthropology. She started working for St. John and St. Michael parishes in July 2007. Her offices are located in St. John and St. Michael rectories.

Danelle Schuh-Philippi, Financial Secretary

 Danelle was born in Antigo, WI, September 14, 1970. She graduated from Antigo High School and attended UW-Stevens Point where she majored in Biology/Education. Danelle taught for 10 years. She married Roy Philippi at St. Michael’s of Suring, June 17, 1995. They have one child. Danelle joined St. John’s Staff in April of 2008. Her office is located in St. John’s rectory, Gillett.

Tricia Fischer, Financial Secretary

tricia.jpgTricia was raised on a dairy farm in Suring, Wisconsin. In 1984, she graduated from Suring High School. Tricia attended Carroll College where she graduated with a degree in Biology. She worked for 9 1/2 years at the Oconto County Land Conservation Department before leaving to spend time with her family and work on the family farm.  Tricia has spent the last 2 years substitute teaching in the Suring School district. She married Phil Fischer in 1991 and they have have three children. Tricia enjoys spending time with her family, camping and playing volleyball.  Her office is located in St. Michael’s Rectory, Suring.
